There are Survey sites that actually pay, and there are survey sites that do not pay. There are many survey sites that used to pay but now have gone to a point system. Let’s talk about those online survey sites.
At one time I was trying every online survey site that I could find, to find one that was not going to rip me off. A survey site that wouldn’t ask me any information that could lead to my identity getting stolen. doing this I had to sign up for a whole lot of spam. but in the end I found probably ten survey sites that paid crazy good money, and like 2 websites that had a points system. Usually the point system is traded in for cash and or products once you accumulate enough points. To me, this is a blatant hustle. Yes that is a straight up scam. because you know, you see “3000 point 30 minute survey awaits you”. but you look on line and see that you can’t cash out until you get 60,000 points accumulated. Then you see that 60,000 points is $20. At the rate of 3000 points for 20 minutes of your time. it would take you 6 hours to accumulate $20. Now let’s not judge my math when I say ” that is about $3.33 an hour”. I like to think I am worth way more than that. but of course, since they do the point system you have to do the math of converting the points to dollars ($1=3000 points) ($.33=1000 points) and then do the math of the amount of time they are offering you. So you have to now do the math of how much you really want to be worth per hour and find out how many points that value is an hour and save that somewhere so that when you get an invite to do a survey for some point for a set time limit, divide the time you have into one hour, now divide the hourly wage you feel worth by the amount of dollars the points they are offering you are worth. Now see if it looks close enough.
Now that is exactly what the survey sites with the point systems are counting on. Is that you are too lazy to do all the math and just get excited when you see a lot of points.
The people are paid to gather information from us about the products, for the manufacturers and advertising agencies for the products. These sites get paid plenty of money. but it is greed that makes them say ” Hey I have an idea, let’s go to a point system, it will be like that street hustle game with the magic cups, these people are stupid and will get excited when we tell them it’s a 45 minute survey for a whopping 900 points”, because 900 of anything is a lot of what ever it is you now have 900 of.
I am now down to three survey sites that I use, who actually pay you in a dollar amount.
Nope…nevermind… I’m down to two. and with these two I only select the surveys that pay me what I think I am worth. to bad they only send one survey a day. Before, when I had ten sites to chose from, I would earn at least $150 a day doing online surveys and only spend about 4 hours doing that.
If I am hurting and feel I have to do the point system surveys, I just click the middle option to everything and try and get it over faster, giving them crap answers since they are giving me crap pay. I figure they care so little they will never check individual answers. I figure they found a cheaper faster manor of getting a total of answers and pulling the average. So yeah, their own greed and laziness is their folly. but I try to avoid those sites. but the sites that pay a fair good price, I pay close attention because I don’t want the survey to end early and me get disqualified. I respect the money, not the points.
I think one site I was at, converted all of the money I was letting build up, into points and then only offered Amazon money to buy stuff from Amazon. I had like $60 on that dang site So I cashed in my amazon gift certificate, I think I still have like $20 on Amazon, I was out of random junk to buy.
Another site was just points that you trade in for cheap products. Like a $10 portable radio takes like 60 hours of work to “win”.
Can you tell I dislike survey sites that work on a point system? I am not doing the surveys to make the products better. Well not completely. I am doing the surveys to see new stuff before anyone, which you will do, and I am doing the surveys to earn money.
So, survey Spot, Taluna (is like three survey sites that have sold and merged), Opinion outpost(two survey sites that sold and merged), Global test market(two survey sites that sold and merged) YOU SUCK
